1 – MUSTEK

The first revision. Item one – the camera. This was a CMOS ‘button’ camera that I mounted in to a plastic bottle, along with the microphone. Finding a bottle with the correct aperture was a task in itself and lead to an ‘odd’ interest in travel shampoo. Once assembled and covered with ‘tactical’ black electrical tape, it was ready. I could mount it to the side of my mask and tie-wrap a PP3 for power underneath.

Next – the recording device. I didn’t want to lug a tape recorder about so I went for the SD card option – a ‘massive’ 1gb per card. I had an old Mustek PVRA1 for an MP3 player which had a video input jack. A cable extension could run down from the mask to the inside pocket of my webbing where it was relatively protected.
